Day Tour
Your adventure begins at Russell Harbor Landing Park, where your friendly guide will greet you and provide essential instructions to prepare you for launching your kayak. Once you're all set, you'll paddle two miles up the scenic Black Water River, heading toward Ski Beach. As you glide along the river, your guide will point out and share fascinating insights about the diverse wildlife and plant life that inhabit the area.
Along the way, you'll also learn about the unique process that creates the stunning mix of swampy landscapes and sandy beaches.
Upon reaching Ski Beach, you can take your time to soak up the sun, relax, or even go for a refreshing swim if you feel like it. After enjoying your stay, it's time to hop back in your kayak for the return journey, paddling two miles back to where we started. Once you've arrived back at the park, you're free to either head off to your next adventure or hang out and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Twilight Tour
Join us for an unforgettable Twilight Tour at Black Manta Kayak Club, where the beauty of nature transforms as day turns to night. Your adventure begins at the same park as our day tour, where you'll meet your experienced guide. They will provide regular kayaking instructions and special tips for navigating in the dark. Before hitting the water, your guide will ensure you're equipped with necessary gear, including headlamps.
The tour launches with a 2-mile paddle up the Black Water River towards Ski Beach. As you glide along, your guide will point out fascinating local wildlife and plant life, sharing insights into the unique processes that shape the Black Water River.
Upon reaching Ski Beach, you may have the chance to lounge in the warmth of the sunset and enjoy some swimming. Your guide will then set up a cozy bonfire, where you can indulge in s'mores and brats—perfect for a delightful evening by the fire. Once the sun dips below the horizon, you’ll get to experience a spectacular night under the stars.
When it's time, you’ll launch again for the return trip down the river back to the park. Navigating through the darkness, you’ll have the exhilarating opportunity to spot elusive nocturnal wildlife, including the possibility of encountering alligators!
